New Moon in Scorpio

Scorpio is one of the most mysterious and misunderstood signs of the Zodiac because of its association with darkness and death.

 But…

One of Scorpio's biggest lessons for you on the Zodiac journey is that you don't need to be afraid of the dark!

At its core, Scorpio is a sign of unconditional love. Scorpio wants you to be the highest and greatest version of yourself – that means being your WHOLE SELF. Scorpio knows that every experience you've had and every part of you belongs.

Scorpio reminds you to not be not afraid to go into the darkness – to release what's weighing you down and to bring back parts of you that you've long forgotten, shamed, or hidden from the world (and maybe even hidden from yourself).

New Moon in Scorpio

Scorpio is the Zodiac sign associated with transformation – cycles of death and rebirth. This Scorpio Lunar Cycle is going to require you to face your darkness. Trust that the universe has your back. Know that you are supported, and allow yourself to go into your shadowy places and shine a light on all that you are. Your whole self is welcome here!

The New Moon in Scorpio sets the tone for the entire lunar cycle, and the theme is intentional transformation.

As Scorpio is the sign of transformation, it’s sometimes called the sign of death. However, because of its association with death, Scorpio gets a bad reputation. But, death is an important part of the cycle of transformation, and it’s a precursor to manifestation.

With endings comes the opportunity to begin anew – for a fresh start.

It's no cosmic accident that Scorpio Season and this Scorpio Lunar Cycle happen in the fall – the season of change.

Leaves fall, and plants die.

That's the way of nature. And, it's a great visual for what's happening in your inner world at this time of year. This natural, seasonal, and cyclical energy is also working inside of your inner world – helping things to fall away.

 (Warning – I'm going EXTRA SCORPIO here…)

I'm so incredibly sick and tired of the phrase “let it go.”

Seriously, if you ask me – it's overused and pretty weak. I can admit that I say it sometimes too, but it always feels wishy-washy when it comes out.

What do we really want from “let it go?"

 LET IT DIE.

For me, letting go brings up images of loosening my grip on a rope but still holding on just a little bit, just in case. Let's take a cue from nature and from Scorpio and let things die – let them fall away without holding on.

Have you ever seen a tree try to keep its leaves or to scoop up the leaves that fell?

No! That's a ridiculous idea, right?

Once the leaves fall, they're no longer part of the tree. It no longer feeds them. They die. Then, in the spring, new life grows where these old leaves once were.

Scorpio knows that's nature's way. Nature doesn't hold on. And neither should you.

As humans, we resist this natural cycle of change and death.

 We're. so. afraid. of. death.

The Scorpio Lunar Cycle is like a death doula – it helps you to let things end once and for all. When you do this, you make space for new growth. The next lunar cycle is in Sagittarius – the sign of expansion. The more space you make this lunar cycle, the more you can expand the vision of your life in the next one.

So, don't be afraid of the dark. Don't be afraid of death.

Just imagine how free you'll feel when you stop letting go, and you let things end – once and for all!

I’m giving you permission to get a little wild, dark, & twisty…

 Embrace the dark.
